Local calculations stay in the page. Live DNS lookups involve our service and the resolver you choose.

Local Inputs

Subnet, IP inspector, membership, range and transfer inputs are processed in your browser. The application does not send them to a calculation API, store them in application cookies or local storage, or put them into a page URL. The initial examples use the source IP already received by the server with an explicitly illustrative prefix.

DNS and Reverse-DNS Queries

DNS and PTR requests send the entered value to our VPS and then to Cloudflare or Google Public DNS. Comparison queries both. API query values are in request URLs, so avoid confidential names. We do not add your individual source IP to upstream queries; Google requests use a zero-length EDNS client-subnet hint. Providers still see requests from our server and process them under their policies.

Connection Information

Cloudflare and the OVHcloud-hosted service process source addresses and request information to deliver and protect the site. The application uses the source IP for IP responses, example inputs and temporary in-memory rate accounting. Responses are non-cacheable. Infrastructure diagnostics may contain request information; we do not promise zero logs or a retention period for systems outside our control.

Clipboard and External Links

Copy controls write a result or command to your clipboard only when selected. Review network information before sharing it. The two house banners are served from this site without an advertising-network SDK or application ad-click tracking. Clicking opens SnapSub or Amazon, where that destination’s policies apply.

Future Changes

Third-party advertising, tracking or other new data uses require an updated privacy and consent review before activation.
